1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using FormFocus, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

FormFocus is a free, browser-based tool that allows users to:

• Resize and compress images to exact dimensions and file sizes
• Merge photos and signatures
• Stitch ID cards (front and back)
• Process PDF documents
• Remove image backgrounds using AI (locally in browser)
• Remove EXIF metadata from images

All processing occurs locally in your browser. No files are uploaded to our servers. AI features download machine learning models (~50 MB) to your browser cache on first use.

3. AI Feature Requirements & Limitations

When using the AI Background Remover feature:

• Model Download: A ~50 MB AI model will be downloaded from @imgly/background-removal's CDN on first use
• Browser Cache: The model is cached in your browser and requires ~50 MB of storage
• Performance: Processing speed depends on your device's capabilities (10-60 seconds typical)
• Browser Compatibility: Requires modern browsers (Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Edge 90+, Safari 15+)
• Internet Connection: Required for initial model download; subsequent uses work offline
• No Warranty: AI results may vary in quality; we provide no guarantees on accuracy
• Privacy: All AI processing happens locally in your browser - images are never uploaded

You acknowledge that AI-generated results may not always be perfect and that you use the AI feature at your own risk.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use FormFocus only for lawful purposes
• Not use the service to process illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content you don't have rights to
• Ensure your images and documents comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the application
• Not use the service in a way that could damage or impair it

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

FormFocus is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy or completeness of output
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• MorningAppLabs and FormFocus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for any rejection of your processed documents by government agencies, employers, or other institutions
• We are not liable for any loss of data (though since we don't store your data, this risk is minimal)
• You use FormFocus at your own risk

7. Accuracy of Output

While FormFocus strives for precision:

• Exact file size targets are approximate (within ±0.5-2 KB typically)
• Image quality may vary based on source material
• You should verify processed files meet your requirements before submission
• We recommend testing outputs before critical use

8. Intellectual Property

• FormFocus code and design are owned by MorningAppLabs
• You retain all rights to images and documents you process
• Third-party libraries used (Cropper.js, PDF.js, jsPDF, JSZip, Font Awesome, @imgly/background-removal) are subject to their own licenses

9. Browser Compatibility

FormFocus is designed for modern browsers including:

• Google Chrome (recommended)
• Mozilla Firefox
• Microsoft Edge
• Safari (limited testing)

JavaScript must be enabled. We cannot guarantee compatibility with all browsers or versions.

10. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue FormFocus at any time
• Update features or functionality
• Change these terms (with notice via the "Last Updated" date)

11. External Links

FormFocus may contain links to third-party websites or services (like CDN providers). We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms.

11a. Affiliate Links & Advertising

FormFocus participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may include affiliate links:

• Affiliate links are clearly marked with "Ad" or "Sponsored" indicators
• Clicking on these links and making a purchase may result in us earning a small commission
• You pay no extra - the price is the same whether you use our link or go directly to Amazon
• We only recommend products relevant to our users (exam preparation books, study materials)
• Your purchase activity is handled by Amazon - we never see your personal or payment information

11b. Display Advertising (Google AdSense)

FormFocus displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense (Google LLC). By using the site, you acknowledge:

• Ads are served by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• We are not responsible for the content of advertisements displayed by Google
• Personalized ads use cookies; you may decline personalization via the cookie consent banner
• Declining cookies means non-personalized ads may still be shown
• Ad revenue helps fund the continued development and hosting of FormFocus

FormFocus is a tool, not a professional service. It does not provide:

• Photography or design services
• Guarantees that processed documents will be accepted
