1. How FormFocus Works

FormFocus is a client-side web application. This means:

• All image and document processing happens entirely in your browser
• Your files never leave your device
• No files are uploaded to any server
• No data is sent to us or any third party
• FormFocus works offline after the initial page load
• AI Background Remover: Uses a local AI model that runs in your browser - your images stay on YOUR device

2. AI Background Remover & Machine Learning

Our AI Background Remover feature uses machine learning technology that operates 100% locally in your browser:

• How it works: Downloads an AI model (~50 MB) to your browser cache on first use
• Model caching: The model is stored in your browser's IndexedDB and reused for future sessions
• Processing location: All AI processing happens on YOUR device - images are NEVER uploaded to our servers or any external AI service
• Model source: The ONNX model is downloaded from @imgly/background-removal's official CDN (run by IMG.LY GmbH)
• Your images: Stay on your device throughout the entire process
• No tracking: The AI model does not send any data, analytics, or telemetry
• Cache clearing: You can delete the cached model anytime by clearing your browser cache

Privacy Guarantee: The AI feature maintains the same privacy standards as all our other tools - your images never leave your device.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your uploaded images or documents
• Processed files or outputs
• Personal information (name, email, phone, address, etc.)
• Financial information
• File content or metadata

Note: We do collect anonymous analytics data via Google Analytics (see Section 4), but this never includes your files or personal documents.

4. Analytics & Cookies

To understand how visitors use FormFocus and improve the service, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This means:

• What GA4 collects: Anonymous usage data (page views, clicks, session duration), approximate location (country/city level), device type, browser type
• What GA4 does NOT collect: Your uploaded files, processed images, personal documents, or any file content
• Cookies: GA4 uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions
• Your control: You can decline analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner
• Data retention: Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then automatically deleted
• IP anonymization: We enable IP anonymization to protect your privacy

Your rights under GDPR/CCPA: You have the right to opt-out of analytics tracking. Use the cookie settings banner to decline analytics cookies. Your file processing will continue to work normally.

5. Third-Party Services

FormFocus uses the following third-party resources:

• Google Analytics 4 - For anonymous usage statistics (see Section 4)
• Google AdSense - For display advertising (see Section 5b below)
• AI Background Remover Model - ONNX model from @imgly/background-removal CDN (see Section 2)
• Amazon Associates Program - Affiliate links to Amazon.in (see Section 5a below)
• Font Awesome - For icons (self-hosted, no tracking)
• Cropper.js - For image cropping functionality (self-hosted)
• PDF.js - For PDF processing (self-hosted)
• jsPDF - For PDF generation (self-hosted)

All JavaScript libraries are self-hosted on our domain and do not collect your personal data or files.

5a. Affiliate Links & Amazon Associates

FormFocus participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. This means:

• What happens when you click: You are taken to Amazon.in. Any purchases you make are handled by Amazon under their privacy policy
• What we receive: A small commission at no extra cost to you
• What we DON'T see: Your personal information, payment details, or what you purchase
• Labeling: Affiliate links are marked with "Ad" or "Sponsored" indicators
• Your choice: Clicking on affiliate links is entirely optional - our core tools remain 100% free

5b. Display Advertising (Google AdSense)

FormFocus displays advertisements served by Google AdSense (Google LLC) to help keep the service free. This means:

• What AdSense collects: Cookies and identifiers used to serve relevant ads, approximate location (country/region), device type, browser type, and pages visited on our site
• What AdSense does NOT collect: Your uploaded files, processed images, or any document content
• Your control: If you decline cookies via our consent banner, we request non-personalized ads from Google instead — ads may still appear but without personalization
• GDPR/CCPA compliance: Users who decline the cookie banner receive non-personalized ads only
• Ad content: Ads are selected and served by Google. We do not control the specific ads shown

6. EXIF Data Removal

When you process images through FormFocus, we automatically strip EXIF metadata including:

• GPS location data
• Camera make and model
• Date and time stamps
• Other embedded metadata

This happens automatically to protect your privacy. The cleaned files remain on your device only.

7. Local Storage

FormFocus may use browser localStorage to remember your preferences (like selected units or compression modes). This data:

• Stays on your device only
• Is never transmitted anywhere
• Can be cleared by clearing browser data
• Contains no personal or sensitive information

8. Security

Since your files never leave your browser:

• No risk of data breaches on our end (we have no servers storing data)
• No man-in-the-middle attacks during upload/download
• Your documents remain completely private

We recommend using HTTPS when accessing FormFocus to ensure the webpage itself is delivered securely.

9. Contact Information

If you contact us via email (morningapplabs@gmail.com) or social media, we will have access to:

• Your email address or social media handle
• The content of your message

This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.

10. Children's Privacy

FormFocus does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect data, COPPA and similar regulations don't apply, but we're committed to protecting privacy for all users.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Since we don't collect email addresses, we cannot notify you directly. Please check this page periodically.

12. Open Source & Transparency

FormFocus's code operates entirely in the browser. You can inspect it using your browser's developer tools to verify our privacy claims. We believe in transparency.

13. Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, rights like data access, deletion, or portability don't apply. Your data never reaches us in the first place—the ultimate privacy protection.
